In the Fall of
1995, Coach Bryan Baker introduced Allen High School to the
world of Lacrosse to the students of his Computer Science
class. Word spread around the school and the very first
Allen Lacrosse team was born. The beginning years were tough
playing the younger teams from Plano East, Hillcrest, and
ESD. This was the start of something big in North Texas for
all teams! |

started turning the program around. First Allen team to win
a tournament when they won the Lax’n on the Red tournament
in Shreveport, Louisiana. The 2004 team also beat C.E.
Byrd, a traditional power, for the first time. |

team with a winning record and first team to make the
playoffs. Lost in the playoffs to Coppell, a team they had
beaten twice in the regular season, including an 11-4
victory less than three weeks before. |

Four of the regular
season losses were by one goal. Made the playoffs the last
day of the regular season. Beat Plano East in the first
round and went to Independence Stadium in Shreveport,
Louisiana for the Northern District Championships. Beat
Hillcrest in the semi finals and C.E. Byrd in the finals to
become the Northern District of Texas Champions. State
Playoffs were in San Antonio. Lost in the semi finals to Cy
Fair. |

Both the
varsity and JV Teams won the Lax’n on the Red tournament in
Shreveport, Louisiana. Lost season opener to DI Jesuit,
lost a game to Caddo that was scheduled during spring break,
and lost a heartbreaker at Highland Park 15-13. Team went
on an 8 game winning streak to end the regular season. Team
was 8-0 in Eastern conference of the Northern District. Beat
Captain Shreveport in the first round of the playoffs. Team
lost to Hillcrest in the second round of the playoffs.
Injuries to three players before the second round was a
significant blow. |

The team did
not get to play a number of scheduled games during the year.
The Team lost out on 3 tournaments and 3 regular season
games due to weather or other complications. The team
played four DI teams during the regular season splitting
them 2-2. Allen beat Hillcrest in the first round of the
playoffs who was the number 1 seed in the western
conference, but lost to Highland Park in the second round.

In the fall and winter,
the team made it to almost all of the playoffs of the
various tournaments. The regular season was a tough season
dealing with many injuries along with a tough schedule. The
team came back to win some tough games only to end up losing
other in double overtime. |
Fallen Eagles
Every
player, regardless of what year, is part of the Allen Lacrosse
Family. Allen Lacrosse would like to remember those family
members which we have lost.
